It has been two and a half months since Reginald and Gail returned from a strange set of circumstances, and world neither thought could exist. Their hometown of Plains seems different since that fateful night in November of 1931. Darker.
While the Fleming Orphanage is quiet, evil still lies in wait.

In addition, Gail has become a shadow of the outspoken young woman Reginald has known her to be. The young woman he fell in love with. Reginald fears the marriage proposal he had been planning for several months will have a less than favorable outcome, but decides to proceed as planned on Valentines Day.

While appreciative of the evening her boyfriend planned, Gail remains unsure about the future, continuing to come off as distant. An encounter with Father Louis of St. Gregory the Great Church also leaves a slight chill in the air.
In spite of it all, Reginald clings to hope for the future. A future with the girl he loves.
